SKILLS & CULTURE EXCHANGES

Welcome to NHFGN Skills and Culture exchange project.

We are looking for Organisations, Companies and individuals that want to conduct skills and cultural exchange projects across the world.

We also have a tourism department that can accommodate those going for private visits.

Exchange visits help in building relationships across cultures is vital to creating a more peaceful and just world. When people from diverse cultures and backgrounds know and understand one another—and gain the skills they need to contribute as citizens and leaders—they form the global partnerships that under-gird global security, economic stability, and tolerance.

OUR APPROACH

Experiential Learning:

We believe that people learn best by doing—and then reflecting on their actions. We encourage reflection throughout each of our exchange program activities to help participants absorb what they are learning and understand how they can use that knowledge once they return home.

Leadership Development: Strong leadership is essential in tackling the world’s challenges. Our exchange programs help the next generation of global leaders expand their sense of civic responsibility, establish cross-cultural relationships, and develop the skills to transform their communities.

Inclusion: Solutions and partnerships can be truly global only when they include all voices. We approach our programs through the lens of social inclusion, bringing traditionally excluded voices into discussions and encouraging all participants to consider power structures within communities.

Innovation: Not everyone can take advantage of traditional exchange programs—travel can be prohibitive for cultural, economic, and health-related reasons. We employ innovative tools such as flexible semesters and virtual platforms to help us reach and connect with even more participants.

Regarding Fees and Charges:

Once your application letter has been accepted and approved, you will be notified of our fees and charges for your stay in the host country/ family/community, this will include inland transportation for the duration of your stay, accommodation, food and tour guides if you will visit tourist resorts.

Conducting exchanges

NHFGN offers dozens of exchange programs each year, empowering people from more than 150 countries at all points in their careers and academic lives.

Our professional exchanges include networking opportunities with all its sections in different countries and international counterparts, site visits, and industry and community discussions; our academic exchanges place international students in different countries to strengthen their culture, leadership and career skills; and our youth programs teach young people about leadership, current affairs, and peace-building.

These exchanges promote tolerance, empathy, and respect, as well as foster a deeper understanding of each country's values and culture.

Building on our decades of experience, NHFGNalso creates custom professional exchanges designed to help participants build their global networks and gain knowledge to succeed on an international level. We work with professional associations to develop an agenda that addresses their needs, ensuring that the exchange is relevant to their members’ professional development.

When you experience a different culture through educational and cultural exchange, you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and those around you—deepening your knowledge of foreign cultures and strengthening international relationships.

Leaving the familiar behind and plunging into the unknown shows a commitment to understanding other people and cultures; and a commitment to learning about the world in a way that books, school assignments, and a professional career can never reveal.

Making Lasting Connections

When you live with a host family, you are integrated into their family and temporarily become part of it. By doing so, you become aware of the inner concerns, hopes, and dreams of a family, a neighborhood or city, a nation, and a global community. And with this realization comes the corresponding knowledge of what it means to belong to your own particular country and culture.

Participants develop leadership skills, self-confidence, and a greater understanding of the complexities of the world around them. Getting to know the locals, experiencing the culture, and living as they do; these are things tourists miss, and this is where you really discover the way of life in another country with all its subtleties.

Embark on your educational or cultural exchange program and gain knowledge about other countries . and their language and culture. Experience building new friendships, taking responsibility for yourself, respecting differences, and tolerating the beliefs of others. And while exploring and learning about the lives of others, discover new aspects of yourself.

You’ll also become part of our global network of volunteers. You’ll build international connections, learn about volunteers from around the world, and make lifelong friends.
